With its 368 meter this is the second highest building in Europe. You can get up to 203 where you can get a fantastic view. The tickets cost 12 euro and there is so many people that wants to visit that they also now sell a VIP ticket for 19 euros so you dont have to wait for so long. I would recommend to eat dinner there. If you make a reserveation in the restaurant you pay 12 euroes to get up, but you can pick up your ticket in the souvenirshop (where there is almost no people) and you do get to go in the VIP que. The restaurant goes around and you can sitt still and enjoy the view in a little more peacefull way than downstairs where there are lots of people and noice. The food is expensive, but the view is worth it, and I would also recommend to not do this the first day but after a few days where you can see some of the places you have visited from a different perspective. We ordered a table in july for 19.30 and we got to see Berlin getting darker and darker, which was so nice. Here you should also be a little early reserving. There is also a bar in the visiting room if you dont want to reserve a table.
I read other reviews and put some bad ones down to circumstance. We had a vip ticket which gets you a reservation in the restaurant. The view and atmosphere is great along with the decor. However, it seems that unless you are forceful with getting the attention of the waiter you will be waiting a while (we waited half an hour after we asked for the dessert menu, after which we just asked for the bill and left). The food is nice, but pricey - you pay more for the experience. But the service is inexcusable for such a location and cost. I agree with others to go for a drink (bar on the observation deck under the restaurant) but eat elsewhere.
It is wonderful tower and also the area around is full of life. It is go up once during the daylight and another at night. I did not try the food. The cost is OK. The tickets must be scanned through a machine which control the opening of a barricade, the scanning may fail or you may scan your ticket by mistake while another person is passing. In that cases you can ask the security for help, but do not expect them to be friendly.
The best Berlin view possible. Is a 360º panoramic view at 200 meters tall. Just awesome to see the sunset or sunrise. I recommend the sunset and spend at least 30 minutes in the top. You can see the Berliner Dom and the Alexanderplatz just under the tower. Great to see, a must be in the Berlin´s sightseeing.
